为了简化通关手续，迪拜海关要求各进出口公司提供统一格式的文件。无论是报关单，还是发票扫描件都要以.csv格式提交至海关。这一改革的实行给来自东西方的供应商和制造商在带来了困扰，他们开始加强与当地渠道和物流公司的联系。
德国汉宏全球物流Hellmann作为业界的全球领先者，对客户的需求非常敏感。它开始着手解决这个难题
由于公司繁重的负荷和日益增长的货物量，这个流程必须根据迪拜海关的规范实现自动化。因此，该公司开始寻找处理纸质文件、扫描文件和图像文件的OCR解决方案。这项技术有几个主要的提供商，公司似乎很难做出选择，因此他们组织了招标。
汉宏研究了几个OCR识别软件供应商（即ABBYY、Kofax、I.R.I.S.和ReadSoft等）提供的解决方案和建议，并选择了性价比最高的ABBYY FlexiCapture解决方案。
由此启动了这个项目。在根据特定的规格对系统进行调整时，项目遇到了几个重大挑战：
扫描文件
所有的纸质文件，包括不同客户的多页发票（15-20 页）、申报单等都笼统地收集起来，进行扫描。
作为智能软件，ABBYY FlexiCapture能够轻易地快速区分所有文件，并根据它们的类型进行分类。
多语言文档
由于迪拜是全球贸易的枢纽，自然而然，全球各地都会向迪拜输送货物，而迪拜的货物也会出口到不同的国家。海关接收的文件使用到了各种各样的语言，包括出口货物的阿拉伯语，任何特定文档都可能包含多语种信息。
ABBYY FlexiCapture的智能OCR技术可以处理180多种语言的文件，并将它们整合起来，它也能够始终提供最优质的欧洲语言和阿拉伯语脚本识别。
内部数据库
系统需要数据库来存储所有的商品及其基本信息，如名称、价格、商品类别（用于征税）等。最简单的归纳信息的解决方案是运用Excel 表格，但由于Excel表格最多只能存储65,000项信息，不能满足汉宏标准工作流程中的100,000项信息存储的需要，因此，Excel表格不适合汉宏。微软SQL服务器是合适的替代方案。
ABBYY团队撰写了专门的脚本和规则来连接2个系统：ABBYY FlexiCapture和数据库，由ABBYY软件加以处理，用于数据验证。
由于对系统进行了特殊的调整和定位， ABBYY FlexiCapture能够自动使用文件的条形码和预定义规则从数据库提取必要的信息，并比较处理后的发票和数据库中的数据。通过对识别的数据和存储在数据库中的数据进行比较，可以自动修正原始文件质量问题导致的识别错误。如果系统仍然无法确定某些信息，文件将被送到操作员那里，进行人工检查和修复。
根据海关规范导出文件
当公司申报货物时，必须注明货物的类别，以支付必要的税收和关税 ——或决定货物是否免税等。海关定义了一整套参数：
- 文件的名称必须包含以下数据：
- 发票编号、日期、金额、供应商、采购商（发票）
- 商品编号、名称、数量、价格（申报单）
因此，标准的清关文件被称为逗号分隔值文件。
ABBYY FlexiCapture可以将数据导出并保存为各种格式，包括必需的.csv文件。由于面向用户化程度很高，软件界面也很直观，因此，操作员可以根据迪拜海关规范轻松地调整导出文件。
通过这些措施，汉宏公司完全满足了海关的标准，并保持了较高的客户服务水平。
如今，汉宏公司是按照以下流程准备报关前的文件：
首先，将所有文件进行扫描，ABBYY FlexiCapture会自动将数据提取出来，然后将提取出来的数据与数据库进行比较核准，最后，将文件导出为符合迪拜海关要求的.csv格式。
