泰比数据捕捉技术实现百事可乐发票处理自动化

PepsiCo百事可乐系列品牌受到全球200多个国家消费家庭的信任，每天都有数以百万计的人群消费PepsiCo百事可乐。为了帮助数十家业务实体公司管理文件，PepsiCo百事可乐在1989年成立了成像技术部。“这是高瞻远瞩的举措，” PMP项目经理Jordan Clevenger说道，“我们一直致力于创建定制化成像及内容管理解决方案，早于其它公司20年。”

Patel和他的团队的任务是制定一个自动化数据捕捉解决方案，能够支持多种语言、多种货币、复杂数据字段及能进行大批量数据处理。除了供应商及客户的名称之外，还必须捕获他们的增值税信息、订单、发票金额及行项目。
“手动输入这些数据的效率极低，” Patel提道，“我们的目标是将这一过程流水化，如此每一个实体公司可以对导入百事可乐ERP系统的发票信息进行捕捉及验证——这也意味着产品需要完全集成到SAP。幸运的是，我们已经在之前的一个项目中积累了相关经验，在那个项目中，我们熟悉了一种自动化表格捕捉解决方案：ABBYY FlexiCapture。”
之前，Patel团队帮助PepsiCo百事可乐俄罗斯办事处创建AP工作流程——一个涉及到多种文件类型、业务流程及语言的复杂过程。“他们的文件不是纯发票，” Patel回忆道，“还涉及到其它工作流程，而且我们不得不在工作中使用西里尔字母。他们推荐了FlexiCapture，所以我们在内部数据库及工作流解决方案Image Vision中使用了FlexiCapture，负责将捕获的数据转换为XML，然后将其发送到我们的SAP后台。FlexiCapture与系统的集成相当流畅，而且从一开始就良好运行。”
利用ABBYY FlexiCapture实现应付账款自动化处理流程
为了加速POWER项目的开展，PepsiCo百事可乐与Criteria First达成了合作意向。Criteria First是泰比ABBYY的合作伙伴，曾帮助成像技术部为PepsiCo百事可乐俄罗斯项目提供支持。“我们在多语言、货币及增值税处理方面从事过探索性工作，” Criteria First 解决方案开发工程师Russell Kent说道，“对于POWER项目，我们将对软件进行配置，让它不仅适用于法国、比利时及荷兰主要业务实体，也能处理德国、意大利、瑞士的一些小型业务实体——即PepsiCo百事可乐西欧片区。”
Patel说Criteria First的初始目标是为每一家主要业务实体创建一个实验性方案。“我们希望同时获得使用者和管理者的满意，” Patel解释道，“我们对新的解决方案进行了测试，所有人都表示他们的工作量确实减少了。”
POWER项目完成后，应付账款工作流程实现了简单化、自动化及低成本化。数据由PepsiCo百事可乐北德克萨斯数据处理中心负责处理，各个业务实体的数据通过网络远程获得。如此，各个业务实体可以分摊该系统的成本，而且PepsiCo百事可乐应付账款处理程序更加具有一致性。
首先，各个业务实体通过泰比ABBYY扫描站将五种语言的纸质性发票进行扫描。然后这些带有各个业务实体标识的数据被发送到POWER项目，由FlexiCapture进行识别。之后，新数据文件及数据被发送到验证站，验证完毕后转发至PepsiCo百事可乐成像部进行审批。最后，数据以XML文件格式导入百事可乐SAP ERP解决方案。
效果
Patel表示新解决方案从一开始就非常节省时间，ABBYY FlexiCapture的准确性将检验时间减至最少。“当然，我们也需要对每一条索引进行人工验证，但事实上我们仅需要对比较奇特的字符进行检验。这并不需要多少时间，解决方案的精确度极高。”
ABBYY FlexiCapture在高负荷工作下的准确性仍非常稳定。在最初的三个月，POWER系统解决方案同时处理了五种语言的2000批次文件、21,000多份文件和将近40,000份页面，且没有出现任何问题。而这仅仅只是开始，Kent表示：“这显示我们这一解决方案可以负荷大批量工作。自该解决方案应用后，我没有收到从百事可乐反馈来的任何问题。它确实非常完美。
Jignesh Patel同意道：“从泰比的角度来讲，我什么事都不用做。这说明我们的工作非常棒。它运行得非常顺利。”
业务愿景
根据Patel，成像技术小组正在研究新的方法利用ABBYY FlexiCapture开发解决方案。“我们正在为全球业务实体公司研发应付账款解决方案。届时将形成共用程序，让百事可乐每一家业务实体都能享受到同样的优势。这必须对泰比产品进行整合。”
